The DiVine website is always looking for new writers to join the team. Victorians with a disability are welcome to apply to become a paid DiVine writer.
We are looking for great writers who can produce original, informative and easy-to-read articles. We also want people who are eager to help build a vibrant online community for Victorians with a disability.
Applicants need to be interested in a wide variety of subjects related to the lives of people with a disability.
Articles on DiVine can include:
DiVine writers receive formal training and are paid for their work. They also receive ongoing mentoring from an experienced journalist. Applicants need to be able to write at least one article a month according to a fixed deadline.
Successful applicants will need to sign a formal contract for a period of 12 months. Writers work on a freelance (external) basis as a contractor to the Department of Human Services. Disability access and support services can be provided by the department on request.
The next group of DiVine writers is expected to be recruited in early 2013. However, you are welcome to apply at any time and we will keep your details on file. We welcome new articles from any Victorian with a disability.
